Sara Morris Awarded a Full Scholarship to Haystack Mountain School Summer Conference

Sara Morris, Ph.D. student, is the recipient of a full scholarship to attend the Haystack Summer Conference, Craft and Legacy: Writing a History, Preserving a Field that will take place July 7-11, 2019 at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine. Bringing together artists, scholars, collectors, and curators Craft and Legacy will feature twenty-one speakers addressing key questions of legacy and preservation pertaining to the field of American Craft. Sara's research focuses on American contemporary art in relation to modern and contemporary craft histories, digital technologies, and feminist inquiry. The Haystack Summer Conference is presented in collaboration with the Center for Craft and the Scholarship has been made possible through a grant from the Windgate Foundation.
