His responsibilities include working with the Department Chair on the
budget, hiring and supervising the staff as well as determining their
work loads and priorities. He is also responsible for working with faculty
to facilitate their success in instructional and research matters and
faculty welfare issues. He has limited communication with graduate students
with most contact related to employment and to the academic mission of
the department. He also interacts with those students who wish to contact
the Department Chair. He can be of assistance with questions and concerns
regarding the role of staff, faculty advising and employment matters.

Gail is responsible for all aspects of undergraduate affairs in Art History,
she assures that undergraduate students meet the academic requirements
of both the Department and the University. She acts in an advisory capacity
to Art History undergraduate students, interprets curriculum requirements,
advises on University and departmental requirements. She works closely
with faculty, staff and students in all facets of her job duties.

Lesley is the administrator for the graduate program. She advises current graduate students and also coordinates the annual admissions process for new students.

Manages the departments financial matters, including, accounts payable, purchasing, staff and causal employment payroll, travel and entertainment, awards, grants and extramural funding.

The Instructional Assistant assists all department staff and faculty,
particularly in the preparation of department handouts, posted materials,
course evaluations, and text book orders.

Hours: 8:00-5:00 Mike is responsible for the set-up, development and support of the Visual
Resources Collection's database and Digital Asset Management system and the University Art
Museum's collection management system. He maintains the Windows server for these two units.
He also assists with departmental website and computer support issues when required.
