Jing Cao is a M.A./Ph.D. student in the History of Art & Architecture with special interests in contemporary Chinese art and modern Chinese aesthetics. Her master’s thesis explores the integration of German aesthetic theory and literati Chinese connoisseurship in Wang Guowei's Renjian Cihua. Jing is the current recipient of a Chancellor's Central Fellowship and was a 2015-2016 Blakemore Fellow. She has a B.A. from Yale University in East Asian Studies and has completed additional coursework at Peking University and National Taiwan University. She is a regular contributor to Artsy Magazine and Art Practical and former contributor to Daily Serving.
