Swati Chattopadhyay Received Birkbeck Institute of the Humanities Fellowship

Professor Swati Chattopadhyay is the recipient of the Birkbeck Institute of the Humanities Fellowship, University of London, for Spring 2017. While at Birkbeck she worked on a new project, The Garden Plot: British Empire and Landscape Design in India, 1780-1910. In May, she led a document-handling workshop at the Prints and Drawings Collection of the British Library followed by a presentation of her current research in a panel on Landscape and Power. The University of London’s Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities (BIH) Research Fellowhip supports research of established academics, whose research is relevant to the work of the Institute, to join the BIH as Visiting Research Fellows.
