honors thesis project
With faculty guidance advanced upper division students (3.0 overall; 3.5 major gpa) write an extended research paper.  This is a two quarter project, intended as a transition into graduate school, culminating in about a 20 page research paper.  Available with the project are opportunities for

An opportunity to do research related to a faculty member’s current research projects.  Topic, number credits, amount of time, and outcome are determined by the faculty who offers research assistantships.  Either speak with a faculty member with whom you would like to work or consult the web listing of ongoing research projects at the Directory of Undergraduate Research Opportunities and Faculty Research Interest at UCSB.
