"Reused, Recycled, and Re-Viewed." Briefly, we aim to explore the layered meanings of the act of recycling in a broad range of social and cultural practices stretching across disciplinary and historical boundaries. In particular, we are interested in the appropriation and re-contextualization of materials in visual culture.

We invite papers from a wide range of thematic, methodological, and philosophical perspectives, that confront the act of recycling in visual culture and encourage submissions across a variety of time periods and geographical areas.
